Style F1 Style F1 EIA rack mountable component cases have removable front & rear lids. There is no foam isolation between the rack rail mounted components and the outside world. Each lid is attached with twist catches, one or two per side depending on the rack mount component case interior height. Rack mountable component shell section depth must be specified at time of ordering as well as rackable height in rack spaces or units (1 EIA rack space or unit = 1-3/4'.) F1 style EIA rack mountable component cases can optionally be equipped with tapped (10-32) or untapped rack component mounting rails, either front installed, rear installed, or both. Other options worth considering are locking devices (two per lid minimum) or various caster options. Applications are lighter weight, more rugid electronic components requiring less common carrier transit. F1D style EIA rack mountable component cases have two, side-by-side, rack bays separated by a permanent partition. |
