Style F3 Style F3 EIA rack mountable component cases incorporate a removable inner rack shell with both vertical and horizontal rack space housed inside a B4 style (removable clamp-on lid) case. This case is much like our F5 rack style however you have the added convenience of a removable, functioning, inner rack shell. The outer case is minimally 1" foam lined to provide shock isolation for the inner rack shell & components. Inner rack shell has a minimum of two recessed spring-loaded handles (equal numbers per side) and is finished with heavy-duty walls and construction like the outer case. Lower case section has high compression polyethylene foam on the floor and soft polyester foam on all sides. The removable upper case section is fully lined with polyester foam. Rack mountable component shell section depth must be specified at time of ordering as well as rackable height in rack spaces or units (1 EIA rack space or unit = 1-3/4'.) F3 style EIA rack mountable component cases can optionally be equipped with tapped (10-32) or untapped rack component mounting rails, either front installed, rear installed, or both. Other options worth considering are locking devices (one per side minimum) or various caster options. Applications are more fragile electronic component, portable PA systems, requiring common carrier transit. |
